Some minor issues sorted :)

Finally sorted out some electrical problems I’ve been having for a while.

Dodgy horn now working properly and I cleaned all earth connections to make my lights and indicators brighter.

Reverse lights stopped working, This was the problem lol:

Good as new haha:

Induction Kit

Bought and fitted a K&N induction kit to the Golf this evening. (Thanks Joe at GSF)

It seems to have made the car quieter lol, but I shall leave it for a week or so and see how it goes.

Leaky Golf

Fitted a new door lining to the rear passenger door today. The old one was letting water in, resulting in a nice puddle in the footwell. I will most likely do the rest soon as i guess they will start leaking too.

Site Overhaul!

After nearly a year since my last post, I have decided to start adding semi-regular content again! I will be posting mainly car related things as before, but I also have a lot of ideas for future projects.

As a taster, here is how the Golf looks now:

More to come soon :)

MOT Results :)

Well, the Golf passed its MOT!, yay!

I am really pleased to finally get this done and it means that it should be on the road this week!

It did get 8 advisories, which was more that i was expecting. these are mostly easy fixes though so its all good.

Long time no blog!

Why hello there,

I decided i really should start updating this again lol!

Sooo the main news is that i am no longer at college! I have an apprenticship in Herne Bay working as an IT technician :)
Tis going really well so far and i much prefer working than going to college. no more homework, yay!

Car wise, i am still running the Polo but have been doing a few things to the Golf to get it ready for its MOT tommorow.

What i have done so far:

Good clean inside and out
Replaced a rear seatbelt buckle  as it was broken
Fixed the dodgy  horn connection that was stopping it from working
Replaced the Speedo/clocks unit
Added clear front indicators
Fitted new numberplate’s

A pic of the two speedo units halfway through the change:

I think I’ve checked everything that can be checked for an MOT, so fingers crossed for tomorrow!
